The vision and mission of the organization is to transform the North Aegean Region in a modern destination with high quality experiences for the visitors throughout the year. Furthermore, its goal is to increase the arrivals and overnights stays of those visitors with high expenditure per capita.<\/p>\n
Special emphasis will be given to local heritage, cultural dimension and the natural environment through the development of an excellent package of experiences and maximizing the effects of tourism on the local economy. Additionally, the mission of the Organization targets to offer unforgettable experiences to the visitors of the ten islands of the North Aegean Region and to improve inhabitants\u2019 lives.<\/p>\n
Through multiple actions the Organization aims at:<\/p>\n

- increasing the visitors,<\/strong> placing the destination in the international tourist market.<\/li>\n
- taking a leading role in the local tourism industry<\/strong>, strengthening partnerships, collaborations and synergies between all stakeholders in tourism as well as among suppliers in order to maximize their efficiency.<\/li>\n
- improving infrastructure<\/strong> by discovering opportunities and facilitating development plans.<\/li>\n
- maximizing the efficient use of the destination\u2019s resources<\/strong> through their successful management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
In particular the goals of the organisation are:<\/p>\n

- The positioning strategy and targeting of the tourism at the North aegean region<\/li>\n
- The positioning strategy and targeting of the tourism product of every island seperatly<\/li>\n
- The creation of a specific and commonly accepted brand name both for the North Aegean Region and for each island.<\/li>\n
- The development and promotion of specialized tourist packages and experiences. The goal is to create an “Experience North Aegean” program where the destinations of the Region will provide unforgettable experiences -and not just services to their customers -and will constantly create superior value and competitive advantage.<\/li>\n
- The leverage of tourist traffic based on clear and specific procedures and actions.<\/li>\n
- Enhance connectivity in order to increase air transport.<\/li>\n
- Destination promotion through specialized campaigns<\/li>\n
- The creation of new jobs both in the tourism sector and in other sectors of the islands\u2019 economy.<\/li>\n
- Dissemination of benefits from the development of tourism through specific actions. Aiming at strengthening the primary and secondary sectors of the islands\u2019 economy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- Exploit internet applications<\/strong> (eg official websites, social media, mobile devices, etc.), intensifying the visitor’s relationship with the destination at all stages of the tourist experience.<\/li>\n
- Raise the issue of tourism policy at all levels of public administration, highlighting the benefits of tourism development for the local economy and society.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Meet moderns\u2019 travellers needs by providing specialized information for different types of visitors and experiences.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Develop synergies and coordination<\/strong> between agencies such as hoteliers, port and airport managers, transport companies, to improve the supplied tourism product<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
