WHAT IT IS ABOUT
CulTVET is a 2-year Erasmus+ KA3 program that aims to the development of the tourism sector through the creation of a common European Certificate in the field of cultural tourism.
Participants will have the opportunity:
- To get necessary training through a curriculum based on field’s needs, taking into account the European experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other countries and be trained, through their participation, in a real work environment.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The goals of the project are:
- Understanding the conceptual framework of cultural tourism, its specialization and field’s characteristics
- Understanding the characteristics, qualifications, and needs of cultural tourism in those countries who participate in the program and the adaption of a “European Qualifications Guide for Tourism” according to specific cultural needs.
- Determining the qualifications that are more relevant and necessary for cultural tourism
- Increasing youth employment in the tourism sector
- Supplying the labor market and in particular the tourism sector with properly trained and certified professionals.
- Supporting tourism through specialized tourism managers and services so as to promote their unique product of the visited destination, to increase the visitation and reduce seasonality
PROGRAM PARTNERS
The partners in the program are from four Mediterranean countries; Spain, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus which their economy is based on tourism.
In order for the aforementioned goals of the program to be achieved, we would appreciate your participation in the group that will be created in order to:
- Present the project and its objectives to the working group
- An Introduction and a short presentation of each participant in the group
- Presentation of the European passport for cultural tourism.
- Identification and adaptation of skills/abilities in the field of cultural tourism
- Development of the qualifications profile, learning needs and results
- Opinions on general satisfaction, activities and meeting results

Seville Chamber of Commerce [SPAIN] – Lead Partner
Seville Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit Public Corporation established by Law as an advisory body to collaborate with Public Authorities, to which it represents the general interest of the companies in the region. CCSEV promotes internationalization, business innovation, entrepreneurship, and employment. CCSEV has a wide training program and it has developed several mobility programs under regional ESF having a wide experience with students in the EU.

Action Synergy [GREECE]
Action Synergy is a training and knowledge-based applications organization which is very active in the field of EU projects and the promotion of apprenticeships. It is the coordinator of another EU project related to the promotion of Apprenticeships (EAPPREN- Capacity Building for Intermediary Organisations through e-learning 572727-EPP-1-2016-1-EL-EPPKA3-SUP-APPREN) and member of the European Alliance for Apprenticeships. It is also an expert in the development of educational methodologies and the organization and development of e-learning courses.

Nuevas Profesiones is a private VET institution that was founded in 1963. This Vocational Studies School has more than 50 years of experience in the VET sector and offers 13 different officially accredited higher level Vocational Training Cycles in 6 main areas including tourism. Students are prepared for professional practice in a specific field, as they acquire the essential skills and knowledge for the performance of a profession. Cultural Tourism is a growing industry and many employment opportunities are being opened all over the world. Therefore, there is an increased demand for specialists in the field while specialized qualifications on cultural tourism are rare.
The CULTVET project offers an enormous opportunity to people interested to work in the field of cultural tourism. It provides a professional qualification jointly developed by 4 Vocational Education and Training (VET) organizations from 4 Mediterranean European countries: Nuevas Profesiones from Spain, Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore “Luigi Einaudi” from Italy, Eurosuccess Consulting from Cyprus and the Company of Research, Education, Innovation and Development of the North Aegean Region S.A. (ELORIS S.A.) in Greece. The project offers also the opportunity for an internationally recognized accreditation of the skills acquired by ACTA – Certification, Training and Assessment Body and Spin Off Company of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
This joint qualification includes 200 hours of classroom-based lessons as well as 300 hours of guaranteed practical training in an enterprise or organization active in the field of cultural tourism. Eight of the students who will participate in the course [2 from each participating country] will also have the opportunity to make their practical training abroad.
The curriculum of the CULTVET Joint Qualification is built around the following competencies:
• Understanding the concept of cultural and heritage tourism and its value
• Interfacing with customers and managing customers experience
• Project Management for cultural tourism experiences
• ICT and Technology for Cultural Tourism
• Marketing and communication
