The Company of Research, Education, Innovation & Developement of the North Aegean Region (ELORIS SA) announces the distance specialized training in HEALTH PROTOCOLS, according to JM 6632 / 16-4-2021, Government Gazette No. 1632 (ΚΥΑ 6632/16-4-2021, ΦΕΚ Β’ 1632) on the basis of which the tourist enterprises operate in the framework of the measures taken against the COVID-19 virus, for the Hotels and the Non-Main Accommodations.

The training will take place on Monday, July 12, 2021.

Declaration of Compliance

NON-MAIN ACCOMMODATIONS should enter the platform www.healthfirsttourism.gr, where they should submit the declaration of compliance. If it is a Hotel, the relevant declaration of compliance is made through the FDI (KEE) at the Internet Address www.grhotels.gr.

Reminder

According to the current health protocols, for those tourist accommodations that had issued in 2020 the “Health First” certification mark, no re-issuance is required, except in cases where:

• there has been a change in the person of the suspect case manager, or
• if the name of the doctor or the health structure with which the tourist accommodation cooperates has changed

If someone wishes to participate in the exams for the sub-units Web development and G.I.S, s/he must be at least a high school graduate and to have basic knowledge of the English language. In the exams for the rest of the units, anyone who wishes to can participate.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM

The goal of the program is to train instructors on modern principles, methods, and techniques required for adults’ education.

Regardless of educational level and experience, the instructors who will participate in the program they will learn new educational skills, which can be applied in various fields, they will improve their professional skills and will upgrade the effectiveness of open education and vocational training programs.

Upon successful completion of the program and after their evaluation, the trainees, will have obtained the Certified Adults Trainer (CAT) certificate from ACTA, which allows them to teach in educational institutions, LAEK educational programs as well as in Liberal Studies Centers.

ADDITIONAL OBJECTIVES

A. In terms of knowledge:

The trainees will be able to:

• Understand and describe the basic principles of adult education and its associated issues.
• Understand the principles of effective communication for adult learners and group’s impact.
• Understanding the importance of assessment for improving the development and teaching of an educational program and its contributors.
• To adopt the lifelong learning philosophy, through understanding and applying the new approaches and applications in the field of adult education.

Β. In terms of skills:

The trainees will be able to:

• Effectively apply the principles of adult education
• Effectively apply the new techniques learned
• Constantly improve their skills by monitoring and participating in the most recent advancements in the field

C. In terms of behavior:

The trainees will be able to:

• Understand the needs of adult learners and positively support their adaptation to the educational process.
• Apply the methodology and training techniques they learned with respect to the specific characteristics of the training group.
• Encourage communication and interaction among members of the training group
• Accept and use the evaluation process, for the benefit of themselves, the trainees, and the educational process.

THE CANDIDATES TEAM

• Trainers are graduates of Higher Education
• Trainers are graduates of Post-Secondary Education
• Trainers are graduates of Secondary Education and have three years oF working experience
• Business executives specialized in Human Resource, Unit Directors of the Public and Private sector, Business executives who are responsible for staff training

INSTRUCTORS OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES

• The instructors of the program are mainly members of the Scientific Association of Adult Education, specialized and experienced in the field of adult learning.
• The academic leaders of the program are Mr. Alexis Kokkos, professor of E.A.P and Chairman of the Board of the Scientific Association of Adult Education and Mrs. Maria Terlixidou, Development Consultant and Secretary of the Board of the Scientific Association of Adult Education.

DURATION AND STRUCTURE

The Training Program lasts 100 hours and is implemented based on a blended teaching system:

a) Approximately 60 hours, distant learning (study of educational material, essay writing, communication with ACTA organization and the instructors)

b) Approximately 40 hours, 3 educational meetings, in groups of 15 people

PROGRAM’S IMPLEMENTATION STAGES

STAGE A

It is the initial stage of candidates’ information and preparation – who will be informed by ACTA- and direct electronic access to compulsory parts of the educational material.

STAGE B

Carrying out Educational Meetings and at the same time trainees will study the educational material they have received.

STAGE B

The trainees present the designed and edited micro-teaching sessions which they have planned during their training, followed by the evaluation of their presentations and certification.

TRAINEES EVALUATION AND CERTIFICATION

At the end of the program, each trainee will be asked to design and present a micro-teaching session that lasts for 20 minutes and it is an essential requirement for the completion of the program.

The evaluation of micro-teaching is based on:

• Achieving exercise’s educational goals
• How well prepared was the presented material
• Proper use of oral speech and body language
• The educational techniques that were selected and applied for their case
• The relationship developed between the Trainer and the “trainees”
• The use of any related and appropriate supervisory medium.

The above general criteria are used as indicators for the evaluation of each trainee. Each general criterion receives a score from A to D, which is also supported by basic observations, where this is necessary.

A supervisor training consultant- as the first evaluator and experienced trainer -as well as an evaluator on behalf of ACTA -as the second evaluator- are taking part in the evaluation process.

The final decision regarding the trainee’s performance is taken after the collaboration of the first and the second evaluator. In case where both of the evaluators end up in common scores either A, B, and C  the trainee can be certified by ACTA organization and obtain the CAT certificate.

The micro-teaching is recorded for data collection purposes, while all the legal procedures of personal data protection are kept.

The final date for the programs’ submission at the Ministry of Labor is 10/09/2019.

The employer/company until it acquires the Training Certification, it should assign the Safety Technician’s duties to an external partner or to external prevention and protection services (EXYPP).

The educational programs “Safety Technicians of risk category B or C” which are of 35 and 10 hours of duration respectively, get submitted to the Ministry of Labor – Directorate D9 and they are being realised in certified classrooms that are located in our subdivisions in Attica (Argyroupoli, Aigaleo, Neo Iraklio and Pireaus), in Thessaloniki, in Kiato, in Xanthi and in Alexandroupoli.

Since the conclusion of the seminar and provided that it has been issued the ruling of approval from the ministry, it will be issued a Training Certification in a period of 10 days. As soon as the Training Certification is issued, the employer will be able to be declared as safety technician and, at the same time, terminate the safety technician’s duties assignment contract.

Seminar Content

The Safety Technician Seminar concerns all the employers. It is foreseen from the legislation that every employer who employs employees should have a person in charge for the safety and health of the employees and the workspace/ safety technician.

The safety technician is an advisor for the employer and the employees and, in general, his role is:

1. to supervise regularly the jobs in terms of work health and safety, to report to the employer any default of the health and safety measures, to suggest countermeasures and supervise their application.
2. to care so the company’s employees abide by the health and safety rules in the workplace and to guide them for the prevention of the professional risk which is implied with their job 

Also, the employer has the obligation to have a written assessment of the risks in his/er business which writes the safety technician. In the written risk assessment, a systematic examination of all aspects of each work performed is performed and recorded:

What could possibly cause damages and failures.

In what percentage the sources of danger could be eliminated, and if not

What are the protection and prevention measures that are being applied or they must be applied.

For the determination of the safety technician’s qualifications and the estimate of his/her employment time, the businesses are being ranked in 3 categories: A (high risk), B (medium risk), C (low risk).

The employment time of the safety technician depends on the amount of the employees and the risk of the business.

For the C category programs the participation fee is 70€ and for the B category programs is 130€.
